Vampires and Dhampires

These vampires are not quite like any defined in Earth mythology. Vampires are immortal beings carrying a virus that transforms others into vampires, at the cost of needing to feed off blood to survive. Unable to bear pureblooded offspring, a small amount of mixed-blood creatures called dhampires also inhabit this world, a collection of individuals that vary as much at the combinations of genes can. Vampires can be most anything, although they seem to gravitate to positions within the Hands, Justices or Chaosian Thieves.
