Jituq are small animals with dense fur, the overall appearance and reproductive abilities of a rabbit, and the wings of a bat. Average height is seven and a half inches at the shoulders, a full one and a half feet if you measure from their ears down. They’re not very aerodynamic, being plump, but somehow they are able to fly at a good clip and glide short distances.

Physical and reproductive maturity occurring at eight months. Females go into head once a year and generally have litters of three to five babies.

Jituq are capable of seeing in extremely low light, which makes up for their dark environment and lack of sonar. However, they are not very intelligent at all, making them the favored prey of headhuggers, as they have the habit of occasionally wandering too close to where one is perched.
